Company Overview

In 1970, upon completion of his survey supervision duties during the construction of Warm Springs Dam and Lake Sonoma, John Doble, PLS opened John H. Doble & Associates in Cloverdale.  In 1989, Bradley A. Thomas, after 15 years of land surveying employment, opened Bradley A. Thomas & Associates in Sebastopol.  In 2000, after a distinguished 30 year career, John Doble announced his retirement and Brad purchased John H. Doble & Associates.  The merged company was renamed DobleThomas & Associates and incorporated in 2002.  Bradley A. Thomas is the company’s President.

Today, the offices of DobleThomas & Associates, Inc. provide professional land surveying, urban planning, civil engineering, GIS, aerial photography, photogrammetric mapping and land development permit processing services throughout Northern California.  The efficiency of these disciplines combined is advantageous for our clients as both savings in time and overall project costs.  Our office employs a team approach to all projects utilizing state of the art support systems in surveying and computing, which enables us to tackle even the most technically complex projects.  DobleThomas & Associates, Inc. has two office locations along the Russian River in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties serving both public and private clients. 

Advanced GIS Mapping Services are rendered to the Wine Industry, the Real Estate Profession and Municipalities. An example of our GIS Services is WineMap an online Interactive GIS Mapping site related to the wine industry created in collaboration with the Sonoma County Winegrape Commission and the Oregon Winegrowers Association.

DobleThomas is affiliated with Delta Geomatics Corporation in Santa Rosa.  Delta Geomatics is the former photogrammetry division of Hogan-Schoch and Associates in Sebastopol.  Delta’s library of Northern California aerial images dates back to the late 1950’s.  Bradley A. Thomas is the Vice President of Delta Geomatics Corporation.
